What does frameless mean?
Frameless is a term used to describe a method of cabinet construction. It is also called Euro-style and more appropriately, full-access. Frameless cabinetry can be traditional or contemporary in style. Common American cabinetry has a 1/4-in to 1/2-in thick box with a wood face frame attached to the front. The doors are then attached to this frame. Frameless cabinets are built with 5/8-in to 3/4-in thick panel material, and without a face frame on the face of the cabinet box. The doors are hinged directly to the cabinet side wall. Frameless cabinets feature slim spacing or reveal between adjacent doors and drawers (1/8-in or less) and offers unobstructed access, more storage, and wider drawers within the same cabinet size compared to face frame construction.

Are Latitude Cabinets environmentally friendly?
Latitude Cabinets is a member of the Environmental Stewardship Program (ESP), administered by the Kitchen Cabinet Manufacturers Association (KCMA). This program recognizes companies that demonstrate an ongoing commitment to environmental practices and sustainability such as efficient manufacturing, waste management, use of sustainable materials, and social stewardship. Plus, all panel material used in the construction of our cabinetry, whether plywood or particleboard, meet current standards for ultra-low formaldehyde emissions as dictated by the TSCA Title VI. This program is the strictest program for measuring formaldehyde levels associated with building materials.

How does Latitude Cabients compare to custom built cabinets?
Custom is a misused term, and does not necessarily refer to better quality, but more to being built to fit. Latitude kitchen cabinet remodel products maintain a very high quality level with respect to materials, workmanship, and finishes. And within a high-tech factory setting, these levels of quality can be maintained consistently. Furthermore, Latitude Cabinets does not build an inventory of cabinets, but rather only builds cabinets when orders are received.
